Well, hey there. My name is Vashti, and I will be the one writing to you – bringing you tips, adventures, and stories from our fun, wild little world. If you don’t know us yet, then welcome and let me introduce Caught in the Webb.
I’ve spent over a decade causing chaos (the fun kind) with my best friend turned fiancée, Amanda. But let’s just say… we weren’t always such good friends. In fact, when Amanda first met me, she wasn’t exactly my biggest fan. And to make things even more unexpected? I had only ever dated men before her.
Fast forward to 2018, and something changed. We started hanging out more, and by 2019, we were completely inseparable – best friends who shared a love for music, late nights, and, of course, a good party. With all this extra time spent together, Amanda’s soccer friends used to say, “something’s definitely going on there”. Amanda and I used to look at each other and laugh saying “that would never happen”.
Then life threw us both some curveballs. Two heartbreaks later, we found ourselves leaning on each other more than ever, and somewhere in all of that, we found something we never saw coming… a love for one another that was unexpected, undeniable, and absolutely meant to be. Who would’ve thought that the person I was going to spend the rest of my life with was right in front of me the whole time.
Amanda and I are big believers of enjoying every moment, whether it’s travelling to the other side of the world or simply waking up together and appreciating a home cooked meal. We’ve been through it all – late nights, concerts, travelling, music festivals, cocktails that probably shouldn’t have worked (but did), and now, planning the wedding of our dreams. Life with Amanda is an adventure, and we figured, why not share the ride?
